Life is hard. Things we don’t plan for happen to us. Illness strikes us unexpectedly. When things happen, we can choose to fight or sit down and have a pity party. Some decide to wallow in self-pity and they want everyone else to feel sorry for them. They tell the world about how awful things are for them and how there is no help. This only leads to an endless road of hopelessness. Others decide to fight. They stand up to their illness and face it head on. With mental illness and cancer, if you want to reach recovery, you must decide to stand tall and fight.

TEA-licious: top Tea Cafes in Toronto

This is for my Canadian followers, or those planning to visit Toronto, who also love a good cup of tea.

I frequently see blogs about coffee spots across the city, but not often do I encounter ones that cater specifically to TEA. If you are a non-coffee drinker like myself (never had a cup in my life), then tea may be your best alternative for a hot drink, especially on a cold winter day.

And just like my last blog post (top fitness studios in Toronto), I spent many months exploring cafes across the city as I compiled a list of my top spots. The places that I listed provided more than just a tea bag in hot water; I was looking for unique blends, tasty lattes, great ambiance and Pinterest-worthy decor.

Different is Good!

My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victims of the Orlando shooting.

Why do some people feel they have to hate anyone that is different from them?

Different is Good

How boring life would be if everyone looked the same, acted the same and believed the same way. We’d be robots.

Always take the opportunity to talk to someone who is different from you. Ask about their culture and traditions and don’t judge them by your own culture and traditions. How could you possibly think that your way to be, is the only way to be?

My best friends in college where a girl from Japan and a girl from South Africa. Boy did we have fun learning about each other and the world around us.
